Get Certified:
The North Carolina Certified Plant Professional certification is a written and plant identification test that seeks to recognize proficiency in the nursery workforce, upgrade the status of the nursery professional, and provide the public with a means of identifying qualified nursery professionals.

To become a Certified Plant Professional, the applicant must pass (70% correct) the written test, the plant identification test, as well as document of 12 months of experience in plant production or sales.  Find more information, find a test application, and find a list of current Certified Plant Professionals visit www.ncnla.com.

After taking the CPP exam, take a walk on the show floor to network with other Green Industry Professionals and see what’s new at our member nurseries’ booths.

Get Educated:

1:00PM:   Plant Walk with Mark Weathington of the J.C. Raulston Arboretum featuring Choice Plants

The popular Plant Walk is back!  Walk the show floor with Mark to learn about the different plants being offered by our member nurseries.  Each member nursery will showcase a plant that they are growing – whether it’s a new variety or a tried and true one.  Mark will tell you the low-down on each plant so you can broaden your plant palette.  Mark will also discuss the J.C. Raulston Arboretum’sChoice Plants Program, in which we have partnered with the JCRA to bring you “superior selections of new and underused plants for the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic from the JC Raulston Arboretum landscape trials”.  The Choice Plant selections will be on display in the JocoPlants booth for you to inspect up close and personal all day.
