2023 JoCoPlants Show

On August 16th the Johnston County Nursery Marketing Association (JCNMA) hosted the annual JoCoPlants Show. This year’s free show welcomed more than 250 green industry professionals to the Kerr Scott Building in Raleigh, NC. Attendees mainly hailed from North Carolina, but JCNMA members also welcomed guests from Maryland, Virginia, and South Carolina. Buyers from landscape companies, and garden centers, as well as landscape designers and educators, spent time with member nurseries discussing plants on the market, future projections, as well as the state of the industry.

The JCNMA also welcomed guest speakers from the industry to provide education opportunities for attendees. Connie Hoyes, President of Southern Garden, Inc. and NC Landscape Contractors' Licensing Board member, presented on Irrigation and Landscape Contractor Statutes. While, Kim Strazisar, Kim Strazisar Communications, LLC, discussed how to proactively mitigate customer complaints using license law. Finally, Mark Weathington, Executive Director, and Greg Paige, Director of Horticulture, of JC Raulston Arboretum highlighted plants from each member nursery during their plant walk tour!

The show’s success comes not only from the hard work of member nurseries, and the enthusiasm of attendees but also from the dedication of JCNMA’s sponsors!
